Samsung: check the TV’s own app store
On supported Samsung models, open Home, choose Apps and use Search. Select the app you intend to use and choose Install if available. Samsung states that only apps available in the TV’s app store can be installed through this route.
If the app is absent, confirm your model and region with Samsung or the app publisher. An Android installation file is not a substitute for an app listed for your Samsung television.
LG: use the Apps or Content Store route
LG’s interface depends on the webOS version. Open Home and the Apps area or Content Store, search for the intended app, and open its listing to check availability and install. Use LG’s model-specific instructions if your menus differ.
Check the model, webOS version and store region when an app cannot be found. Do not assume that an app shown in a tutorial is available on every LG television.
Separate app activation from your viewing account
A player can have its own activation or purchase process. Read what the screen is asking for before paying: a player licence does not necessarily supply channels or renew a viewing subscription.
After preparing the player, enter the account information from your service in the supported format. Verify playback on one channel, then test audio, subtitles and guide navigation using the television remote.
If installation or playback fails
- Missing app: check the TV model and official store listing.
- App will not open: follow the manufacturer’s app troubleshooting guide.
- Login rejected: confirm the login fields and account status.
- One channel fails: report its name and time rather than resetting the whole TV.
- No compatible TV app: evaluate a supported external streaming device before purchasing one.
